South East Cheshire Ornithological Society
SECOS organises a programme of indoor meetings for members to enjoy, with illustrated talks given by a variety of speakers including wildlife photographers, ornithologists and representatives of conservation organisations. Non-members are also welcome for a small fee, currently £3.00
Apart from these regular indoor meetings SECOS also organises a programme of field trips on a Sunday between September and June as well as a long weekend trip usually at the beginning of March.
More local field trips are also arranged on the first Tuesday of the month and during the summer months there are local evening walks usually finishing in a local inn.
During December we have our First Tuesday group meeting on the 5th with our usual December visit to Sandbach Flashes and then on to the White Lion for lunch
on Friday 8th Nick Martin returns with his talk “The Secret Wildlife of the Forest of Dean”
and on Sunday the 10th we are off to the seaside with a visit to the RSPB reserve at Marshside and probably moving on to Hesketh Out Marsh
