SWaBBS in a private wood near Barthomley & Meremoor Moss this morning:
Little Egret flying over me at Barthomley was a surprise addition to my list.
100+ Woodpigeon overhead, probably scared off by a distant ‘shoot’? Siskin feeding in an alder tree, Linnets overhead; a Snipe spooked by a passing Buzzard was a welcome record – hopefully it and other waders return to the Moss.
3 Stonechat, a first winter ( possibly 2 ), then a male, then a female also Reed Bunting.
The highlight for me was a Stoat that ducked back into a gap in the stone bridge when it saw me, then appearing out at the top to see if I was still there, before slinking away in the long grass.

However, I also had a male goosander and the keeper reported a red kite last Monday, the 4th. Flew low over the woods and then drifted off south.
