Little Egret again, two weeks ago there were two birds!!
Also did a walk along new road which eventually leads to Leighton Hospital, at first roundabout turn right on to a footpath, which leads to grassland, hedges not accessable before and trees, looks an interesting location, only bird of interest today was a Common Buzzard preaning itself!!!

Christine Smedley 5th January 2025
I wonder why you haven’t included Bathgate Quarry in your sightings areas.
I go with my Binoculars most afternoons and I have seen some interesting species although I’ve had to describe them to a birder I know to help me decide what I’ve seen as well as looking in my bird book. One day I saw a pair of Egyptian Geese. For a while now there has been a very large flock of Lapwings and different species of gulls at the Reynolds Lane end if you know the area. The latest sighting is a Barn Owl near Arclid Cottages.
